1000-Lb. Sisters star Tammy Slaton has a lot to smile about.
After losing more than 500 pounds, the reality television star showed off her new set of teeth during an appearance on the “Creative Chaos” podcast on Tuesday, August 19.
Slaton, 39, flashed her new smile to podcast host Hunter Ezell and detailed her efforts to upgrade her teeth.
“They’re temporary still,” Slaton said. “But they had to cement them in because the glue wasn’t holding. My body was rejecting it.”

Slaton added, “I’m still getting more done. It’s a process.”
Slaton and sister Amy shared their weight-loss journey on TLC’s 1000-Lb. Sisters, which documented her undergoing bariatric surgery in 2022.
In April, Slaton revealed that she had lost 500 pounds.
“When I was at my heaviest, I was 700-plus pounds,” she said on the show. “Right now, I’m weighing in at 238.”

“Everyone is telling me I look smaller than Amy,” she added, referring to her sister, who has lost 176 pounds herself. “That’s kind of hard to believe. I can’t believe I did that.”
Slaton underwent skin removal surgery in June to remove excess skin following her drastic weight loss.
“I was just overwhelmed with excitement,” she told People of being approved for the surgery. “I worked really hard for this, and now it’s here. I’m pretty sure it was noticeable on my face how immediately shocked and then overwhelmed with joy I was.”
Slaton recently defended herself after being criticized over drinking soda amid her weight loss journey.

“Everybody is different,” Slaton responded to a TikTok comment questioning her holding a soda bottle earlier this month. “I’m not supposed to drink the sodies as much, and that was Sprite. Well, sorry.”
She added, “In moderation, you can eat or drink whatever you want. And I drink a lot of water, and I drink a lot of sodies, but I’m still, like, three, four years post-op. … Everything I’m doing is not fine, but it’s OK because I’m still continuing on my diet. I’m still continuing to lose weight, and I’m still hitting goals. So thank you for your comment.”
