Blast “Thunderstruck” and raise up your pom-poms, because America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders is getting another season.

Netflix announced on Monday, August 18, that the beloved reality show, which follows the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, has been renewed for season 3.

“The world of DCC is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to stories to be told,” director and executive producer Greg Whiteley said in a statement. “I’m grateful our crew has another season to keep telling them.”

Fans, however, will have to wait until 2026 to see what went down during the 2025-2026 auditions and training camp — but a few familiar faces are set to return.

America’s Sweethearts premiered in 2024 on Netflix and followed rookie candidates and returning cheerleaders as they tried to make the 2023-2024 squad.

Among the fans favorites on season 1 were Reece Weaver, who made the team, and her newfound besties Charly and Kelly V., who were both cut during training camp.

When season 2 premiered in June — documenting the road to the 2024-2025 squad — both Charly and Kelly finally achieved their dream of cheering for “America’s Team” in Texas.

Season 2 also sparked a lot of chatter surrounding the monetary side of being a DCC. While most of the cheerleaders have a full-time job outside of the squad, senior members of the team, including Jada Mclean, fought for better pay.

Fans learned during the season finale that the DCC received a “400 percent” salary increase moving into the next season.

“I can’t go into too much detail, but I will say there’s an increase all around when it comes to hourly and appearance fees and just everything as a whole,” Jada, who hung up her poms after season 2 was filmed, exclusively told Us Weekly in June. “It’s a very great change and I think the girls are gonna benefit a lot from it moving forward.”

The news of season 3 being greenlit comes one day before the Netflix release of America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys, which is a TV series focused on Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and his road to glory as the head of one of the biggest NFL franchises in history.

Season 1 and 2 of America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders is currently streaming on Netflix. America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys drops on the streaming service Tuesday, August 19.
