Ana de Armas’ Dating History: From Marc Clotet to Tom Cruise

Ana de Armas has had a few high profile relationships through the years.

De Armas started dating Spanish actor Marc Clotet in 2010. The twosome tied the knot in 2011, but called it quits in 2013.

Following her split from Clotet, de Armas had reported romances with Franklin Latt from 2015 to 2016 and Alejandro Piñeiro Bello from 2017 to 2021. She later started a relationship with her Deep Water costar Ben Affleck in 2020.

Despite things seeming to get serious between de Armas and Affleck, Us Weekly confirmed that the former couple had split in January 2021.

“The breakup was amicable, [but] she was the one who called things off,” a source explained to Us at the time. “Ben and Ana were moving in different directions in their lives and stopped seeing eye to eye. The two couldn’t work through their differences and have decided to end their relationship.”

After ending things with Affleck, de Armas dated Paul Boukadakis from 2021 to 2024 and Manuel Anido Cuesta in 2024, before sparking a romance with Tom Cruise in February 2025 after they were seen getting dinner in London.

Three months after their first public outing, a source told Us that the pair were dating, but that the romance was “low-key” and “still new.”

“Their romance is definitely on the down low,” the insider added in May 2025, noting that Cruise and de Armas met through Hollywood circles over the years, especially with a good word from Penelope Cruz. “Penelope put in a good word for her both personally and professionally.”

De Armas had a brief romance with the photographer in 2017, with the twosome choosing to keep their relationship extremely private.

In March 2020, de Armas and Affleck, who were working on Deep Water together at the time, sparked romance rumors after they were spotted at a restaurant in Cuba.

“Ben and Ana were seen leaving Clandestina [T-shirt] shop on Friday between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m.,” an eyewitness told Us at the time. “It was just the two of them and their driver. Ben happily took photos with fans. Ben was in a very happy mood, making funny faces in selfies with fans.”

After fueling more romance rumors when they were seen making out that same month, a source confirmed to Us that Affleck and de Armas were “officially dating” — and Affleck’s ex, Jennifer Garner, was “supportive of him and happy for him and his relationship.”

Another source shared with Us in March 2020 that de Armas was “very happy” with Affleck.

“She loves spending time with him and they have great chemistry and a lot of fun together,” the insider said.

Nearly two months after Us confirmed they were dating, de Armas and Affleck went Instagram official when she shared a selfie of the duo on a hike.

“Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes and love! Cheers to another great year. ,” she captioned the post.

After one year of dating, Us confirmed in January 2021 that the pair had split, adding that de Armas “called things off” due to the pair not “seeing eye to eye.”

“The two couldn’t work through their differences and have decided to end their relationship,” the insider noted.

Following their split, de Armas credited dating Affleck as one of the reasons she left Los Angeles.

“It became a little too much. There’s no escape,” she told Elle in July 2022 in regards to the fascination of her relationship. “There’s no way out. … That’s one of the reasons why I left L.A. … It’s always the feeling of something that you don’t have, something missing. It’s a city that keeps you anxious.”

De Armas started dating the Tinder VP in September 2021 after meeting through mutual friends during the pandemic. The twosome attended some events together before reportedly calling it quits sometime in early 2024.

The actress had a brief romance with the stepson of Cuba’s President Miguel Diáz-Canel Bermúdez in late 2024, after they were spotted kissing a couple of times.

After her brief fling with Cuesta, de Armas was spotted having dinner with Cruise in London in February 2025.

Nearly three months later, a source told Us that Cruise and de Armas’ relationship was “still new and in the early stages.”

“Their romance is definitely on the down low,” the insider shared, noting that the pair met through similar Hollywood circles, with the original goal of discussing work-related matters in February 2025 and before the “relationship developed” into more. “They’ve gone out on some dates and it’s very low-key.”

The source added that Cruise is “really into” de Armas, but she is being “more cautious.”

“She isn’t looking for anything to move too fast, she’s taking it really slow. … It’s very private,” the source said, noting that “they are protecting themselves from the intense media scrutiny.”
