Beauty Influencer Liz Lin Ruoyu has died. She was 36.

The social media star’s death was confirmed via a message from her husband posted on Sunday, August 10, via her official Instagram account, which has more than 144,000 followers.

“Dear friends: Liz was always a girl with a smile, full of sunshine and love,” the caption read, translated to English via Meta. “She was always curious about new things, and especially caring and loving towards animals. She possessed a unique and captivating sense of taste, always adding beauty and inspiration to the world with her vision and creativity.”

The statement continued, “On social media, she never considered herself a ‘key opinion leader’ but rather a friend to her fans. She always responded wholeheartedly to every message because she truly cared and was truly grateful for everyone who supported her.”

Her husband noted that he wanted to “sincerely thank” the brands they have collaborated with for their “trust and support along the way.”

As her husband, I have compiled a commemorative video of the wonderful times we spent together in her memory.”

Alongside the message, her husband shared a compilation of videos with music from a Japanese band that the couple “love.”

“I’ve slightly adapted the lyrics to reflect what I want to say to Liz. Through this video, friends can remember Liz’s joy and happiness,” he wrote. “Liz’s Instagram account will remain open, as we hope to provide a place for fans to remember her forever.”
