Brennan Elliott has a friend for life in Hallmark costar Lacey Chabert — and after the death of his wife, Camilla Row, the actor’s even more grateful for his castmate.

Elliott, 50, sang Chabert’s praises via Instagram while celebrating their most recent Hallmark collaboration, His & Hers, being voted as the network’s No. 1 movie of 2024.

“Thank you all for supporting the movie and all our 10 movies together!” Elliott wrote via social media on Thursday, August 7. “I have been so blessed to be able to share the screen with her on 10 movies and love her as a scene partner and creative collaborator, but what you all do not see is how she is off screen.”

The actor, who first shared the screen with Chabert, 42, in 2015’s All of My Heart, called the actress one of his “best friends in the whole world” and a “beautiful human being.”

Elliott noted that Chabert has been there for him “through thick and thin,” including the ups and downs with his late wife’s cancer battle. (Row died in March after an eight-year fight with cancer.)

He recalled Chabert being a shoulder to lean on, “Especially [during] the last number of years through this dark time of #cami being sick with cancer and her passing.”

Elliott noted, “This last year especially has been the hardest for the kids and I and I have a number of friends who have been there for me and help love myself and the kids through grief. But this soul sent from heaven @thereallacey is at the top of the list!”

The UnREAL alum gushed about Chabert, saying, “I love you my friend and appreciate our friendship and to say I can’t wait to do a hundred more movies with you is the truth! But more important than that is I can’t wait to continue our friendship forever.”

Elliott concluded: “Thank you @thereallacey for being a true friend and helping the kids and I as well as #cami when she was here on this plane through the struggles our family has gone thru. I am here for you and your family forever u know that! If anyone out there can have just 1 friend like I have in @thereallacey u r blessed! 🙏 ❤.”

Chabert was touched by the sweet tribute, replying in the comments section, “We love you and your family so much, Brennan. We are always here for you and treasure your friendship! I too hope we have the chance to do many more movies together! ❤.”

Elliott and Chabert have been friends for more than a decade and have starred in 10 films for Hallmark. While the actors ended 2024 on a high note with the release of His & Hers that September, Elliott and his family faced heartbreak shortly after the new year.

Elliott announced in March that his wife, a clinical psychologist, died following a battle with stage IV stomach cancer. Row was 45.

“There is no easy way to say this, but I know my wife @camilla_row would have wanted me to thank every person from all over the world who prayed for her over the last 8 years she suffered immeasurably trying to survive and live with #stage4gastriccancer,” Elliott wrote via Instagram on March 22. “It is with a soul crushing devastated heart that my beloved wife #cami passed away at 5:28 this morning.”

The Perfect Pairing actor, who shared two kids with his late spouse, noted that both he and their children “lost our rock, a person who not only was the love of my life, my soulmate, my best friend and lover but the toughest strongest fearless person I have ever met in my life and the greatest mother to her babies.”

Elliott thanked his wife — whom he wed in 2011 — for being the “best wife, mother and friend,” noting that what she did for him throughout their time together “will last forever.”

Elliott’s Hallmark family was quick to send him love and support following Row’s death, including Ashley Williams, Nikki DeLoach and Niall Matter.

“I’m so so sorry, my friend. Absolutely gutted for you and the kids,” DeLoach, 45, wrote in the comments section. “Wrapping you up in all my love and prayers. ❤️‍🩹.”

Williams, 46, replied, “Oh my sweet friend I love you so much. This is the nightmare. Please know I am right here for you and the kids and holding you so tight in my heart right now.”

Matter, for his part, wrote in the comments, “I’m beyond sorry for your loss Brennan. My heart aches knowing what you and the kids are growing through right now. You always faced Cami’s fight with such strength and positivity. I have no doubt that she saw how hard you were fighting the good fight by her side. May she rest in peace now. I love you pal. I’m here for you in any way should you need me.”

Chabert, meanwhile, exclusively told Us Weekly in August 2024 how much she cherished her friendship with Elliott last year while discussing their work on His & Hers.

“It was our 10th movie together and it was just so much fun to be on set again together and especially in a movie where we are playing husband and wife, so we’re already married,” Chabert said of Elliott in the project. “To have that history and that trust and that friendship, it just felt so comfortable, and it makes the work so much easier. It was a blast to be together again.”

Chabert noted, “Brennan is such a great scene partner because you can try something, and he will just go with the flow. He’ll be honest with you and tell you if it worked or it didn’t and we’re there to support each other.”

The actress also told Us that she had “fun” solving mysteries alongside Elliott in their Hallmark Mystery franchise, Crossword Mysteries, teasing she would “absolutely” love to revive the series “given the opportunity.”
