Brittany Cartwright Breaks Silence on Scheana and Brock's Affair Scandal

The Valley star Brittany Cartwright has some thoughts about pal Scheana Shay revealing that husband Brock Davies had an affair while she was pregnant with their daughter, Summer Moon.

“I hate that it’s going everywhere,” Cartwright, 36, said on the Saturday, July 12, episode of her “When Reality Hits” podcast. “I only found out about it a month or so ago. Even her friends didn’t know about it. I don’t know who it was that it was with. … I do know that if Scheana and Brock decided to make it through, then nobody should judge them for that.”

Shay, 40, wrote in her upcoming My Good Side memoir that Davies, 34, previously confessed to being unfaithful in 2021.

“I remained in a state of paralyzed shock as he confessed that he’d cheated on me two years prior, when we were living in San Diego during the pandemic, while I was pregnant with Summer,” Shay wrote in a passage excerpted by Glamour earlier this month. “I had spent so much time fighting off my anxiety and convincing myself that just because Tom [Sandoval] cheated on Ariana [Madix] didn’t mean Brock would ever cheat on me. Now, I was finding out just how wrong I was.”

News broke in 2023 that Sandoval, 43, had cheated on then-girlfriend Madix, 40, with their Vanderpump Rules costar and friend Rachel “Raquel” Leviss. Coupled with the Scandoval aftermath, Shay was in disbelief that Davies had also been unfaithful.

“As I sat there, feeling completely sick to my stomach, he admitted that — at the time — he was scared about being a father again, specifically about whether he even deserved to be, and he chose to deal with it by sleeping with someone else,” she wrote, referring to Davies’ two children from a previous marriage. “I use the word ‘chose’ because it was very much a conscious decision. No one twisted his arm or dragged him into bed.”

Shay claimed that Davies’ affair was never “emotional” and involved a woman he met at the gym.

“I slapped him and threw a Rubik’s cube in his direction, which he dodged,” she wrote of Davies’ admission years later. “To this day, every time I see a Rubik’s cube, it triggers me, pulling me right back to this incredibly dark moment in my life. Same goes for any mention of an F45 gym.”

Shay and Davies were ultimately able to repair their relationship, getting married in 2022.

“They’re doing great,” Cartwright added on Saturday’s podcast episode. “They have a beautiful daughter [and] they have a beautiful home. They’ve always seemed so happy. I’m sure that was a horrible, scary time for her, but she made the decision to stay with him — and I have done that in the past. I would never ever judge someone for that.”

Cartwright, who previously stayed with now-ex Jax Taylor amid his own past cheating scandal, stressed that Shay “knows what’s best for her.”

“Like I said, they’re doing amazing now,” Cartwright continued. “They always seem so happy. Summer is thriving. She is such a great girl, and I know that Scheana loves [Brock] and that Brock loves her. Mistakes happen sometimes, and hopefully, they’re healed from it. … I wish them the best.”
