Colton Underwood Says Housewives Are a 'Different Breed' on 'Traitors'

Colton Underwood is back in the reality TV game.

While promoting the debut season of Are You My First?, the all-virgin dating show he cohosts with Kaitlyn Bristowe, Colton, 33, gave some insight into his next project: season 4 of The Traitors.

“It is, by far, one of the most exciting shows that I’ve ever been a part of. I remember when I first was getting ready to do it, I said to my husband, ‘I’m too old to be fighting with Housewives on TV. I’m scared of them. They’re a different breed. I don’t know what to do,’” Colton told Us Weekly. “And he’s like, ‘It’s fine, you’ve got this.’ And it was. It is the most epic season. It was so much fun.”

The Real Housewives stars on season 4 of The Traitors include Lisa Rinna (RHOBH), Dorinda Medley (RHONY), Candiace Dillard Bassett (RHOP), Caroline Stanbury (RHODubai) and Porsha Williams (RHOA). Other stars featured are Survivor’s Rob Cesternino, Natalie Anderson and Yamil “Yam Yam” Arocho, Top Chef’s Kristen Kish, DWTS’ Mark Ballas, Big Brother’s Ian Terry and Tiffany Mitchell, RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Monét X Change and Love Island USA’s Rob Rausch.

Outside of the reality TV world, the cast is rounded out by Olympians Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski, actor Michael Rapaport, comedian Ron Funches, singer Eric Nam and Travis and Jason Kelce‘s mother, Donna Kelce.

While season 23 Bachelor Colton is the only member of Bachelor Nation on this season, he did tap a past player for advice.

“I actually did call one person — Arie,” he says, referring to season 22 Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr., who made it to the finals in season 1. “You’ll have to watch to find out [what his advice was]. I definitely used it a little bit.”

While The Traitors likely won’t premiere until early 2026, one person Colton seemed to get along with was Mark, 39. When asked what reality TV show he would be terrified to go on, he named Dancing With the Stars, but he’d still do it.

“I would be so terrified. I would want to do it, because I love pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. But I have tight hips. My mobility is not the best, but what I lack in my flexibility, I make up for in strength,” Colton told Us. “I want to dance with Mark because I know him from Traitors.”

DWTS previously featured JoJo Siwa with Jenna Johnson as the first same-sex pairing for season 30 in 2021.

In the meantime, fans can watch Colton and Kaitlyn, 40, help 21 virgins look for love on season 1 of Are You My First?

“The goal of the show was never to get them laid,” Colton told Us. “I remember joking about that on my Bachelor season, like, ‘That is not the goal of the show.’ The goal is to connect with somebody, to experience these things. And people experienced their firsts on Are You My First? in different ways. On a deeper level, I think some of the cast experienced the first self-love and self-acceptance, like, having that deeper understanding of their virginity was the goal of this. And I would like to think after a lot of them have lost their virginity, they might have had those tools to do that from the experience.”
