This year’s U.S. Open tournament is more than just a prestigious tennis competition — it’s also the set of a new dating series.
In July 2025, the U.S. Open and Fresh Tape Media announced a new eight-part YouTube series, Game, Set, Matchmaker, which will air on the first official day of the tournament on August 24. The show will follow “the Champion” Ilana Sedaka, a former champion figure skater and current Pilates instructor, as she seeks to find a match among a cast of potential partners that include influencers, tennis superfans and social personalities.
“We’re excited to break new ground with Game, Set, Matchmaker at the US Open and across our channels this year,” Jonathan Zipper, senior director of social media of the USTA, shared in a statement. “It’s the perfect time for us to launch a fun, social-forward concept that meets the moment, engaging fans at the intersection of tennis, pop culture and entertainment.”
The creative director for Fresh Tape Media, Alana Glenn Moritz, noted that the U.S. Open is “more than a tournament; it’s a cultural stage.”
