The Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter’s boyfriend, Travis Mullen, and his ex-wife, Meghan Mullen, will participate in a psychological evaluation as part of their custody battle, Us Weekly can exclusively report.

Us obtained court documents filed on August 28 by the exes. Travis, 40, and Meghan agreed to appoint a Newport Beach, California, doctor to conduct a “full child custody evaluation regarding” their children.

The purpose of the evaluation is to “assist the court in making a determination regarding the custody and visitation arrangement that is in the best interest of the minor children.”

Travis and Meghan will work with the evaluator and will “promptly complete all necessary paperwork, interviews, psychological testing and home visits as reasonably requested by the evaluator.”

Both will have to give the doctor access to all relevant documents and allow him to speak to teachers, counsels, family members and therapists. Travis and Meghan will split the cost of the evaluator.

The doctor will write up a report after he completes his work and submit it with the court.

Travis and Meghan wed on July 9, 2010, and split in September 2016. They share three children: Presley, born in 2011, Bennett, born in 2014, and Joseph, born in 2016.

Travis filed for divorce in March 2017 and Meghan responded days later. Months later, the court awarded the parties joint custody.

Per court documents, Travis was granted a temporary restraining order against Megan after he accused her of assaulting him. She denied the accusations. The exes reached a deal to drop the restraining order. The agreement required Meghan to submit to drug testing.

On March 31, Travis asked the court to award him sole legal and physical custody. He claimed Meghan had missed a couple of drug tests and had interfered with his custody time.

“Her refusal to take a court-ordered drug test further supports my suspicions that [Meghan] is consuming illegal substances, which could drastically impair her ability to care for our children,” Travis wrote in a declaration.

Meghan denied all of Travis’ claims of wrongdoing.

She told the court, “Travis has made numerous false allegations that I am using illicit substances and passed out in the car pickup line. I categorically deny this. These statements are untrue and unsupported by any credible evidence.”

She accused him of filing for sole custody “to punish and control me, not to protect the children.”

“Travis is using the family court system as a tool of coercive control and retaliation,” she said.

Meghan spoke out against Gina in her declaration. She claimed her kids told her the Bravo star spoke negatively about her. A source close to Gina adamantly denied the claims and called them “BS.”

The court denied Travis’ emergency request but scheduled a hearing on the matter for later this year.

In a May filing, Travis revealed no order had been entered on spousal support. He denied Meghan needed support. He claimed, “Since the time of separation, [Meghan] has maintained the marital standard of living without receiving any spousal support from [Travis].”

In August, Gina spoke to Us about the ongoing drama with Travis and his ex. She said the issues were ongoing.

The reality star said things have not gotten any easier. “It has not. It has not. And it’s really unfortunate and I see the fallout. I see the fallout on us, on the kids. I don’t understand why it’s happening. I never will,” Gina told Us.

She added, “I obviously am a very big proponent of co-parenting and being everything good for the kids, but you can’t fix everything and you can’t control everything … And it’s sad. We went on family vacation just a couple weeks ago with not all of our kids. So that’s really sad and I don’t get it and I never will.”

When asked if she felt there’s ever going to be a time they can all coparent, she told Us, “Together? I don’t. Don’t. Just because I’ve been given zero indication that that’s what his ex wants. So if she doesn’t want that, there’s nothing that we can do other than what we’ve already been doing, which is not doing anything to make any of this happen.”

She continued, “Unless that changes, then no. I mean, I am always going to do what is in the best interest of the Children. So, always, I will never be the problem. So, and when anything shifts there, great.”

“But I don’t anticipate it. Why do you think that is? I don’t know, really. I used to try to understand it and try to think about where it’s or the motivations behind it. And I’m honestly not willing to give any more energy into trying to figure that out. That is not my burden, that is not my cross to bear,” the RHOC star explained.
