Gwen Stefani is celebrating her second-youngest child turning another year older.
Stefani, 55, took to Instagram on Thursday, August 21, to share a carousel of photos and videos in honor of son Zuma’s 17th birthday. The post included several throwback snaps as well as some more recent images and clips of the teen playing his guitar.
In one photo, Zuma posed with stepdad Blake Shelton, while a video showed the former Voice coach, 49, welcoming Zuma to the stage for a performance. In another clip, Zuma sang Zach Bryan‘s “Dawns.” Many of the photos showed Zuma sporting a cowboy hat, jeans and a button-down shirt.

Many fans took to the comments section to wish Zuma a happy birthday and compliment his musical talents.
“Aww he picked up Blake’s mannerisms when he sings, so cute. Love that Blake has had such a positive impact on your kids,” one user wrote, while another fan added, “Happiest Birthday to sweet Zuma! .”
“Awww We can see Blake musical influence on him.
this kid is talented,” a third user commented.
Stefani shares Zuma and sons Kingston, 19, and Apollo, 11, with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. The English musician, 59, also wished Zuma a happy birthday via Instagram on Thursday, sharing several photos of his son as well as videos of Zuma performing with Rossdale.

“HAPPY 17 TO MY ABSOLUTE PRIDE AND JOY — ZUMA NESTA ROCK ROSSDALE — Guitarist – singer – golfer,” he captioned the post. “You are a magical guy. Every day a new song. These last few days with you. You being on tour and closing the show with us has been one of the best experiences I ever had on stage. We all love you to the stars.”
Rossdale continued, “Miss you today. But we had a wild time out here these last couple of weeks. I love you Zuma. Happy birthday .”
Rossdale was married to Stefani from 2002 to 2016. The No Doubt singer met Shelton in 2014, and they began dating in 2015 following their respective splits from Rossdale and Miranda Lambert. Stefani and Shelton tied the knot in July 2021.

Shelton has made it clear that he’s loving every second of being a stepdad — especially being able to share his love of country life with his stepsons.
“I get to teach them the country, you know, and I love that,” he told Entertainment Tonight in April 2024. “Whether it’s music, whether it’s literally getting out, getting their hands in the dirt or being out on the ranch, seeing the animals, whatever, you know? I absolutely love being the person that gets to introduce them to that stuff.”

Shelton previously opened up about his role in Stefani’s sons’ lives during a 2023 appearance on Today.
“I’ve had stepparents,” he said. “I think it’s, in some ways, harder, more difficult. I try to be careful about when to step back and be smart about when to step back and just talk, but no matter what, I’m always there if I’m needed.”
