Hannah Ann Sluss is getting ready to welcome her first baby with NFL star husband Jake Funk.

“The pregnancy is going by super fast,” Sluss, 29, told Us Weekly exclusively while promoting her partnership with Zarbee’s on Wednesday, July 9. “First trimester is so slow and then you wake up and you’re, like, over halfway.”

Sluss spoke with Us while on her babymoon as she recently hit the 20-week mark. She’s set to find out the sex of her little one within the next few weeks. “We have our anatomy scan coming up here soon,” she said, “and so we’ll probably find out then and keep it to ourselves.”

And although Sluss has started to think about labor and delivery, she’s more so concerned with Funk, 27, being able to make it to the birth of their baby. (The running back is currently a free agent after being released from the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad last year.)

“We’re just hoping that dad can make it,” Sluss joked, noting that she remembered when Kylie Kelce was very pregnant with her and Jason Kelce’s third daughter, Bennett, during the 2023 Super Bowl festivities. (Kylie, 33, gave birth a little more than one week after the big game.)

“Hey, it makes for a good story later on,” Sluss added. “I’s going to be chaotic, but fine. It’s gonna make for some good memories.”

Sluss said she and Funk are getting super excited as her bump begins to grow and the reality of parenthood sets in.

“Especially now us being, like, over halfway, and I’m starting to show more,” she told Us. “[Jake] just can’t get over how there actually is a baby in there. So we’re just both so thankful and excited, and I know it will start to seem more real leading up to every doctor’s appointment and being able to see more on the ultrasound screens. So we’re very excited. It all kind of seems like a blur, especially after first trimester, when things start to speed up.”

The Bachelor alum — who ended her engagement to season 24 lead Peter Weber in 2020 — has been curating her registry and is excited to celebrate the baby’s arrival with family and friends.

“One thing I’m really looking forward to is I’m putting together a sprinkle for me and all my friends. Pretty much all of my friends are moms, and so we’re just doing, like, a little pajama night with some of my best friends,” she explained. “And I’m actually making them like goodie bags incorporating the Zarbee’s products. We’re going to have it be, like, a neutral-themed yellow. And so we’re really excited just to put that together. I’m calling it like my last girls’ weekend before the baby’s here.”

For now, Sluss and Funk — who tied the knot in June 2024 — are “focusing on doing our homework and figuring out our own routine” when it comes to becoming parents. “We’re not only enjoying our last few months of it just being about us, but also really just, like, diving in and doing our research, starting our registry.”

Sluss added, “It’s all about scheduling and talking with one another. I mean, both of our schedules are pretty hectic, especially with my husband with football season and stuff. So I think we’re just kind of going to take it as it comes and just know that we’re like a team regardless, and it’s going to take a little extra teamwork, but we’re down for it.”

Sluss, a foodie who takes a holistic approach to wellness, has been documenting her pregnancy journey on social media — even cooking up a “Bump to Table” series on TikTok where she’s inspired by ingredients that represent the size of her growing baby.

Zarbee’s products embody a lot of what Sluss stands for, which is why she was excited to collaborate with the brand.

“What I love about the products is that it’s such a wide range, from infants to toddlers to even us. Jake and I, we love their Elderberry Gummies,” she said. “Especially bringing our baby into the world around, like, sick and flu season, we’re really wanting to stock up on some of our favorites. We love that it’s trusted by parents, including my friends, and it’s recommended by pediatricians. I am in the food space, so I’m all about really creating balanced meals for myself. And we love that those Zarbee’s products are made with simple ingredients that are backed by science.”
