Alexis Bellino has been able to forgive Meghan King for previously making jabs at her fiancé, John Janssen.
“She texted me right after the engagement,” Alexis, 48, exclusively shared with Us Weekly during her bridal shower at Truly Blessed Jewels in Newport Beach, California. “She was one of the first people to text me and said, ‘I am so sorry. I’m so sorry for being so wrong about him and about you. I’m truly happy for you.’ She was just very heartfelt.”
Alexis continued, “She said, ‘I’ve always been Team Alexis, and I always love you.’ All you need is a true, heartfelt ‘I’m sorry,’ and people can forgive and move on. We have still been texting. I care about her.”
In January 2024, Meghan, 40, publicly revealed that she texted Alexis telling her to “be careful” of John, 49, possibly “love bombing” her.

According to Alexis, that private conversation should have stayed between them.

“That was a private moment that we had,” she told Us on August 16. “Then, when she went behind my back in the media and made a clear declaration about that, I called her out in public also because I’m like, ‘How dare you! You have my cell phone. This is not a public matter. This is my boyfriend I know I’m gonna marry. How dare you?’ So we had a word.”
One person who indirectly helped bring Alexis and Meghan back together was fellow Real Housewives of Orange County cast member Tamra Judge.
“Tamra had said, ‘Alexis, she really does love you. I think you need to give her a second chance,’” Alexis recalled. “I said, ‘Heck, no. She is also jumping on a bandwagon with everyone that’s hating John and me.’”
But once Alexis received a “heartfelt text” from Meghan, everything changed.

“Forgiveness matters,” she explained, “and it shows that you can still be wrong, but none of us are perfect.”
In August 2024, John proposed to Alexis during a getaway to the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California.
Now, the bride-to-be is making the final touches to her big day and looking forward to wearing a “non-traditional” wedding dress.

“It is an amazingly beautiful gown. No one could have ever fathomed what I’m wearing,” she teased to Us. “It’s not white, and that’s all you get. It’s from Modern Bride in Scottsdale, Arizona. I’m going to cry on the wedding day when I put it on, just because of how much thought and love went into it.”
When asked to share a message to the critics who questioned the love between her and John, Alexis said the negative noise only made them stronger.
“We would just say, ‘Time will show. Stand the test of time,’” she said. “And what is marriage? Standing the test of time. Because guess what? If you can find love and still build on everything when you are at rock bottom and the most hated and come on top? That’s because it’s a real and true story.”
