It’s time to mix your Honey Deuces and kick back for a full three weeks of tennis as the 2025 US Open hits New York City.
Qualifying matches at the Grand Slam event are already underway at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, with tournament play beginning Sunday, August 24.
While there’s still plenty to sort out before we learn if Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka can successfully defend their singles titles from 2024, fans in the area can take in fan week, which began on Thursday, August 21. Activities include happy hours, autograph signings, giveaways and more as 128 men and 128 women vie to earn their spots in the singles main draw.
But there’s more on the line than just singles glory. The US Open also crowns winners in doubles play, mixed doubles, junior doubles and wheelchair singles and doubles divisions.

Where Can I Watch the US Open?
If you can’t make it to Queens, Tennis Channel and ESPN’s family of networks will carry all the singles, doubles and mixed doubles action. While qualifying matches are playing out on ESPN2, ESPN News and ESPN+, the main draw will air entirely on ESPN, ESPN 2 and ABC.
It all culminates in the women’s singles championship on Saturday, September 6, on ESPN and the men’s title match the next day on ABC.
Each match will also be available to stream on ESPN+.

Who Is Playing in the US Open?

There are hundreds of players competing in the US Open, and we know the big names who will challenge Sinner and Sabalenka for their titles. On the men’s side, that includes Carlos Alcaraz, Ben Shelton and Novak Djokovic. For the women, it’s Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Madison Keys, Emma Raducanu and Venus Williams.
How Much Does the US Open Winner Get?
Players at the 2025 US Open are competing for a prize purse of $90 million, a 20 percent increase from 2024. The men’s and women’s singles winners will take home $5 million each, with the doubles and mixed doubles winners earning $1 million a piece.
How Do You Make the Honey Deuce?

Fans bought more than 550,000 Honey Deuces at the 2024 US Open, and Grey Goose reports more than 2.8 million have been sold since it became the tournament’s official cocktail in 2011. In-stadium, they go for $23, but you don’t need to break the bank to make one at home. Here’s what goes into a Honey Deuce:
1 ¼ oz Vodka
