Jana Duggar's Pregnancy Makeover: Drastic Haircut, Fall-Worthy Highlights

Jana Duggar is “feeling like a new person” after getting a hair makeover while pregnant with baby No. 1, showing off her refreshed look following a haircut and highlight session.

“It’s been over a year since I got anything done to it,” Jana, 35, said of her hair in a video posted via Instagram on Wednesday, August 20, before walking into the salon.

The former Counting On star noted in her caption that it’s “been way too long,” giving a glimpse at her chestnut-colored roots and lighter ends, which she admitted needed a bit of a refresh to give it “a little more life.”

Jana chopped off around four to five inches for a shoulder-length ‘do before her stylist transitioned into color, placing foils throughout her head to achieve a blended and natural ash-blonde hue perfect for the upcoming fall months.

“Hair is done! I love it. So great,” Jana said, before heading home to husband Stephen Wissmann. “Just what I wanted … I think Stephen will love it too!”

Fans hyped Jana up in the comments section while celebrating the couple’s growing family.

“Just be careful bleaching your hair while pregnant can cause you to be very extra glowy and beautiful!!!!!!” one wrote. “Love the shorter hair as it really frames your face!!” a second person agreed. “Ah! It’s beautiful!! Congratulations on baby!” a third replied.

Prior to her salon visit, Jana shared a video of Stephen’s new look on her Instagram Stories after she gave him a fresh haircut at home.

Jana has yet to share the sex of her soon-to-be first child with Stephen, 32, after their heartwarming pregnancy announcement on Monday, August 18, revealing they are expecting a bundle of joy in January 2026.

It happens to be an extra special month for the mom-to-be, considering her own birthday — shared with twin John David Duggar — is January 12.
