Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez Are Married in 'Low-Key' Venice Ceremony

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are officially husband and wife.

“It’s really beautiful and low-key, not over the top at all,” a source told Us Weekly exclusively about the wedding, which took place on Friday, June 27.

Bezos, 61, and Sánchez, 55, were joined in Venice by under 200 guests, with reported attendees including A-listers Tom Brady, Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Eva Longoria and Orlando Bloom.

Ahead of Bezos and Sánchez exchanging vows, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that she would be wearing custom Dolce & Gabbana couture. “It will be a big wedding,” the insider said, adding that it will also be “a very Italian wedding.”

In the days leading up to the wedding, Bezos and Sánchez made headlines for their unconventional wedding invitations.

“We are excited for you to join us! We have one early request: Please, no gifts,” the message read, per ABC News. “Instead, we’re making contributions in your honor and with gratitude to you for making the journey to celebrate with us in Venice.”

The invitations also highlighted three organizations that the couple held close to their heart. “Donations on your behalf are being made to the UNESCO Venice Office to safeguard the city’s irreplaceable cultural heritage,” the message said, “to CORILA to restore the lagoon habitats that protect Venice’s future, and to Venice International University to support research and education for sustainable solutions.”

The invitation concluded, “This magical place has gifted us unforgettable memories. Our hope is that through these efforts and by you joining us, Venice will continue to inspire wonder for generations to come.”

Before kicking off their nuptials, Bezos and Sánchez celebrated the birthday of her 19-year-old son, Evan, with a foam party on their $500 million superyacht. (Sánchez shares Evan with ex-husband Patrick Whitesell. Sánchez is also mom to daughter Ella with Whitesell and son Nikko with ex-boyfriend Tony Gonzalez. Bezos, for his part, shares four children with his ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott.)

Bezos got down on one knee and proposed to Sánchez while the pair were vacationing in Europe in May 2023. “When he opened the box, I think I blacked out a bit,” she told Vogue in November 2023 while recalling the proposal.

While in the early stages of wedding planning, Bezos revealed whether he intended to play a role in the process. “Oh, God, no. Do I look that dumb?” he quipped to Vogue.

As for whether she would be taking the Amazon founder’s last name after marriage, Sánchez noted it was not even a question. “Uh, yes, 100 percent,” she told the outlet at the time. “I am looking forward to being Mrs. Bezos.”
