Jeff Lewis’ Daughter Monroe, 8, Asked If He Wanted to Be Cremated

Jeff Lewis might only be 55, but his 8-year-old daughter is already preparing for his funeral.

“Monroe is asking me if I wanted to be cremated,” Lewis said on Jeff Lewis Live on Wednesday, July 23. “She goes, ‘Do you want to be cremated? I go, ‘Yeah.’ She goes, ‘Where do you want me to put the ashes?’ … I said, ‘SiriusXM.’ She goes, ‘Why?’ I go, ‘Because I have people that I want to f***ing haunt for the rest of my life.’”

He joked, “I want her to sprinkle me all down these halls,” after insisting, “I don’t even know why she’s taking this on right now at 8.”

The Flipping Out star shares Monroe with his ex-partner Gage Edward. She was born via surrogate in 2016 and, after a custody dispute, Lewis and Edward now coparent.

“I have some wonderful news. After 26 months [of negotiations] with Gage Edward Fredenburg — most of it was contentious, I would say — we have settled our custody agreement,” Lewis announced in May 2021. “His lawsuit against me has dropped. My lawsuit against him has been dropped. And we have come to an agreement about custody. I’m OK with the schedule, I think it’s going to be good for her. It’s going to switch because we’d been doing every other day. And now it’s going to be two days over there, two days at my house. … I think I wrote my last check to my attorney. I think I’m done.”

Despite settling their custody battle, Lewis and Edward have had their fair share of back-and-forths over the years. In 2022, they disagreed slightly over Monroe’s preschool and, in September 2024, Edward slammed Lewis for posting a photo of their daughter on social media.

“I think it’s pathetic when someone posts their 7-year-old daughter on IG for 800,000 people to see … Seeking attention at the expense of a minor’s privacy … It’s almost like she’s an accessory,” Edward wrote in a since-deleted post.

Lewis previously explained their dynamic on his SiriusXM show in 2022, saying, “When [Edward is] happy, it’s easier to coparent with him. I don’t know [if he’d say the same about me]. But it was good. We didn’t have any issues. I asked him if I could take her for a week to New York. He said, ‘Yes.’ We’re working really well together.”

In another turn of events, Edward shocked Lewis when he announced his engagement to the Bravo star’s ex Scott Anderson in June. (Lewis dated Anderson on-and-off for about a year following his split from Edward in 2019.)

Edward announced their engagement news via Instagram on June 17 by sharing a photo of his hand — engagement band in sight — alongside what looks to be Monroe’s on top of a notebook that read, “Scott and Gage Wedding Plan[n]ing!”

“ ,” Edward captioned the pic.

Lewis addressed the engagement on his show, saying, “Here is my theory: Gage is extremely calculating. He’s making a play for the money. Scott is affluent, as is his family.”

He concluded, “If he didn’t have money and his family didn’t have money, my guess is he would not be there.”

Anderson is also the father of a young son.
