Julia Roberts' Son Phinnaeus, 20, Looks All Grown Up While Skateboarding

Julia Roberts’ eldest son, Phinnaeus, is flexing his moves at the skate park.

Roberts’ husband, Danny Moder, shared a video of Phinnaeus, 20, shredding on a skateboard via Instagram on Monday, August 4. Phinnaeus was shirtless in the clip, wearing only navy blue pants and a pair of Vans slip-on sneakers, as he rode around the court like a pro.

“Who likes Butter?” Moder, 56, captioned the post, which drew a slew of fan reactions.

“I’m a Skateboarding fan. My son taught me to love it and respect it as any other Sport!!,” one person commented on the post.

“Makes me so nervous, though it looks like great fun! (helmet, knee pads, shirt requested!),” a second person said, while a third follower commented, “The offspring doing you proud!”

Roberts, 57, also commented on the post, simply adding, “.”

In addition to Phinnaeus, Roberts and Moder also share Phinnaeus’ twin sister, Hazel, 20, and their younger son, Henry, 18.

These days, the Roberts-Moder household is a bit quieter, as the twins both spend the school year away at college.

“Julia’s [excited about] her children being able to forge their own paths and experience all that life has to offer,” a source told Us Weekly in December 2023 of the twins continuing their education. “She sees her kids becoming their own people and going out into the world, and she’s so proud of them.”

Roberts admitted that having her kids away at school was going to take some getting used to, but she was ultimately excited for their next chapter.

“It makes me a little lightheaded,” she told Extra in April 2022. “I’m completely excited for them. It’s really thrilling, and I wasn’t lucky enough to have a college experience. And so to see how it’s happening for them is really fascinating. I’m just excited for them.”

The actress also opened up about how much marriage and motherhood have positively impacted her life through the years.

“It was meeting Danny … finding my person,” she told Harper’s Bazaar UK of the transition of becoming a wife and mother after years in Hollywood. “When I think about what makes my life my life, and makes sense and just shine[s] inside of me, it’s him. Everything has come from that for me.”

Roberts admitted that before meeting her husband, “I was my priority,” adding, “A selfish little brat running around making films.”

Though she is one of the most recognizable actresses in Hollywood, Roberts said she’s just like every other mom.

“If I wasn’t here today, I’d be in the carpool lane ferrying my kids to school,” she told the outlet at the time.
