Katie Stevens knew her former The Bold Type costar Meghann Fahy would get an Emmy nomination for her role in Netflix’s Sirens.

The 32-year-old actress told Us Weekly exclusively, while promoting her upcoming Hallmark project Providence Falls, that she and The Bold Type girls are still “such champions” for each other’s careers — even if it’s been four years since their show ended.

“I told Meghann after I saw Sirens, I was like, ‘You’re going to be nominated for an Emmy.’ She was like, ‘No, I’m not,’” Stevens recalled to Us. “Then, when the Emmy noms came out, I just texted her all caps and I was like, ‘I told you so.’”

Fahy, 35, is up for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie following her role as Devon DeWitt in Sirens. She previously starred as Sutton Brady-Hunter alongside Stevens as Jane Sloan in Freeform’s The Bold Type, which aired for five seasons from 2017 to 2021. (Aisha Dee and Melora Hardin also starred.)

Stevens also told Us that she, Fahy and Dee, 31, are “still very much in each other’s lives” even though they’re not working on the show anymore.

“I think that’s the best part of filming, is you do walk away with forever friendships,” Stevens explained. “That one in particular is super special and they’ve been a part of so many different phases of my life — from getting married to having my first child. They’re just the best.”

Stevens said that she thinks about where her character Jane would be “all the time” and knows that fans are hoping for more from the three women.

“Every interview, people do bring up The Bold Type, so we all have been vocal about how we would love to do something [to] continue it somehow,” she said. “Whether that be a movie or what, we don’t know, but we would love to be together.”

Fahy shared a similar sentiment in September 2024, telling E! News that it wouldn’t take any convincing for her to play Sutton again.

“I would do it right now,” she said at the time. “I was texting with Katie this morning. Spoke to Aisha yesterday. They’re my sisters. We’re in it for the long haul.”
