Lauren Alaina is hitting back at mom-shamers who had a lot to say about whether or not she is breast-feeding her daughter, Beni.
The singer, 30, shared a video addressing trolls who criticized her for using bottles to feed her baby.
“Just because I posted a video of myself washing my daughter’s bottles does not give you the right to shame me and harass me and tell me that I should be breast-feeding my child,” Alaina said in the clip shared via Instagram on Monday, July 7, while facing away from the camera and putting her hand in front of her mouth.
She continued, “In reality I’m triple-feeding my child because my No. 1 goal is to breast-feed her, but she can’t latch properly, so we’ve been seeing lactation specialists and feeding specialists to try to resolve the problem, so I am having to bottle feed her, try to latch her and pump every two hours. So mind your business, Nancy. You don’t know me and I don’t know you and let’s keep it that way.”

Alaina then faced the camera and removed her hand from her mouth, playfully asking, “Who said that?”
Fans took to the comments to defend Alaina and praised her for doing everything she could to feed her child.
“A fed baby is the only thing that matters!! The haters are just bored. Keep rocking momma you are doing an amazing job!!!!” one person commented, while a second person wrote, “GOOD FOR YOU, MAMA!!! You’re doing amazing and advocating for your baby is the most vital role. Whatever you choose is perfect for you & her!”
“I’m so sorry, that someone said that to you. We shouldn’t judge. Most of the time we have no idea what another person is going through,” a third person penned.
“You go!! Your private business is No One’s business but your own. You don’t owe anyone an explanation about how you feed and care for your little one. You have a right to have at least Part of your private life be private. ,” a fourth person said in support.

Alaina welcomed Beni on June 11 with her husband, Cam Arnold. After giving birth, the new mom shared a sweet caption about her baby girl along with a series of photos from the hospital.
“The right words are hard to find to describe how parts of my heart that I didn’t even knew existed were unlocked at 8:44 am when they laid you on my belly for the first time,” Alaina wrote via Instagram on June 13. “I will never be the same. You, to your dad and me, are absolute perfection. We are honored. God chose us to be your parents. Thank you to everyone for all of the love, prayers and support for our precious daughter.”

“We learned she was coming in a time of deep sadness after the loss of my daddy,” Alaina said, referring to the death of her father, JJ Suddeth, last July. “I wasn’t sure when I would share Heaven Sent but watching my own husband become a father the last couple of days has made me want to share it with you now. She came just before Father’s Day. My first without my own father. A day that will forever be hard to me, but I now have a new and perfect reason to celebrate it. Beni’s daddy. My sweet and steady husband.”
