Lea Michele is a Broadway star and a mom of two — and the contents of her everyday bag definitely reflect both of those things.

“I have a big mom bag,” Michele, 38, reveals exclusively in her What’s in My Bag? feature in the latest issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now. “In New York City, I usually have some sort of closure on the top so that [I’m] not walking around will all of [my] stuff hanging out [of] my big Mary Poppins bag.”

Michele — who is set to star in Chess on Broadway this fall — says opening her black Loewe Puzzle Fold tote (retails for $2,350) reveals that she is “prepared, that I am organized and that I am a generally health conscious person.”

As she gears up for back to school season with husband Zandy Reich and their children, Ever, 4, and Emery, 11 months, it makes sense that the Glee alum partnered with Lysol for their HERE for Healthy Schools initiative to teach parents simple ways to help stop the spread of germs.

“I’m definitely a minimalist both in my home and in what I carry in my bag, but what I do have is very organized and very prepared,” Michele told Us. “I have everything that I need, but it’s just the essentials and organized so that I’m not overwhelmed.”

Aquaphor Healing Ointment

“I have two children and I think that this is a staple both in my home and in my bag,” the actress tells Us. “I have the travel-sized version of this that I keep in my bag. I use this for my children, but then also for myself — on my lips, or any cracked skin or anything like that. We are a big Aquaphor family, both in our home and in travel bags.”

MacroBar by GoMacro

“Big, big, big fans of GoMacro bars in our house, to the point where we also have the kids GoMacro bars. They are my son’s absolute favorite,” she says. “I keep these in my dressing room at work and it’s my favorite intermission snack to have during the show and also in my bag for running around during rehearsal on a busy day. I keep the kids sizes in my bag as well. Great, easy protein, organic, gluten-free, all of the above. I’ve been a fan for years.”

Lysol Disinfecting Wipes To-Go Pack

“These Lysol Disinfecting Wipes have been in my bag for years,” Michele reveals. “I take them with me everywhere I go, but especially when I travel, I’m a big wipe down the airplane seat girlie. When I found out that I would be teaming up with Lysol, I literally had these wipes in my bag and sent everyone a photo and was like, ‘Stalker!’”

She adds: “[These] are always in my bag traveling with children, needing to wipe dirty surfaces and living in New York City, [they’re] very important.”

“A swipe of this gives my skin an instant dewy, fresh glow. It’s perfect for a quick touch-up when I need to look a little more awake,” Michele says.

Briogeo Hair Stick

“I love this Briogeo little flyaway hair stick. The product smells so good. I’m such a fan of all of their products,” she tells Us. “I like their leave-in conditioner, their hairsprays, but this little stick is the best. I [use it] on my flyaways, on my part. I’m also postpartum, so I have these little tiny hairs that pop out, which are weird indications — it’s so strange — that you had a baby, we’re gonna give you these teeny tiny hairs that pop out of your head. I use this all the time. Also in the summertime, a sleek bun for my curly, frizzy hair is the best.”

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

“I love the Laneige lip mask. I keep one in my bag. I keep one at my bedside. They smell so yummy. This is my go-to little lip balm for my purse and at home,” Michele adds.

Dr. Dennis Gross All-Physical Lightweight Wrinkle Defense SPF 30

“[Esthetician] Shani Darden, who I also love and use all of her products as well, introduced me to Dr. Dennis Gross years ago,” Michele explains. “Between the two of them, they’ve really helped to heal my skin. I’m super acne prone and had terrible skin growing up, so Dr. Dennis Gross and Shani Darden have saved me. But now that it is summer and I am not 20 anymore, I have been really trying to stay on top of my SPF. So I keep this SPF Dennis Gross cream in my bag, and I’m always making sure that I’m applying it just to stay sun protected.”

Needed Hydration Support Electrolytes

Michele tells Us, “This is a brand that I love so very much. I take their everything: their prenatals, probiotics, prebiotics. Last night I had their magnesium powder before bed. I also do their elderberry immunity powder. So I’m a very big fan of Needed and I love their Hydration Support. So I keep their tiny little packets that I throw in my water throughout the day.”

Dr. Barbara Sturm Hydrating Face Mist

“This is my go-to for a midday refresh,” the singer says. “A quick spritz instantly wakes up my skin and makes me feel more alive — especially during a busy day.”

Mountain Valley Spring Water

“I always feel better when I hydrate properly, and this water tastes incredibly pure — like an instant reset from the inside out,” she adds.

Pique Sun Goddess Matcha Packets

Pique Matcha Lea Michele WIMB.webpPique

“I love Pique Matcha. Huge fan. They also come in the small little packets, but they’re incredibly well-made matcha. I was a big coffee drinker for many, many years, and for anyone to know now that I do not drink coffee anymore, if you know me really well, you know what a huge deal that is because coffee was sort of my life and now I’ve become so basic,” Michele teases.

She says, “I’m a matcha girl. Matcha morning, noon and night, and Pique is a really wonderful brand and their matcha packets are fantastic. I take them with me wherever I go. I have about six in my bag right now because I just get [anxious] that I’m gonna be somewhere and they won’t have matcha on the menu, and so I take these packets with me everywhere I go.”

Living Libations Rose Glow Serum

“A little goes a long way, and it makes my skin feel instantly nourished. I love the scent and how glowy it leaves my face,” she raves.

Michele tells Us, “I love that it feels like a luxury fragrance in a sleek little bottle, plus it actually makes sanitizing feel elevated instead of clinical.”
