Lil Tay’s dad may be supportive of her OnlyFans career, but won’t be monitoring her content.

Chris Hope told TMZ on Tuesday, August 5, that Lil Tay, 18, is an adult “and can make her own decisions.” He added, “I am sure she is going to be successful in whatever she decides to do.”

Hope noted that he’s aware “some people won’t approve no matter what she does,” but he’s not going to judge his daughter.

After sharing her decision to launch her OnlyFans page, Lil Tay shared a screenshot of the income that she made on her first day — which totalled $1,024,298.09. She allegedly made $511,003.79 in subscriptions, $26,736.19 in tips and $486,558.11 from messages.

Lil Tay earned a name for herself at 9 years old when her social media videos began going viral, rising to fame as a rapper in 2018 and collaborating with stars like Diplo and Jake Paul. Five years later, Lil Tay made headlines when a false statement was shared on her Instagram that she and her brother died.

“It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of our beloved Claire’s sudden and tragic passing,” the statement read via Instagram in 2023. “We have no words to express the unbearable loss and indescribable pain. This outcome was entirely unexpected, and has left us all in shock. Her brother’s passing adds an even more unimaginable depth to our grief.”

The next day, Lil Tay assured followers that she and her brother were alive.

“I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I’m completely heartbroken, and struggling to even find the right words to say,” she told TMZ in August 2023. “It’s been a very traumatizing 24 hours. All day yesterday, I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones all while trying to sort out this mess.”

Lil Tay claimed that her account “was compromised by a 3rd party and used to spread jarring misinformation and rumors,” also sharing the wrong name. She added, “My legal name is Tay Tian, not ‘Claire Hope.’”
