Lizzo clapped back at a Fox commentator — and poked fun at Sydney Sweeney’s “Good Jeans” ad — with her own sexy clip.
Lizzo, 37, took to TikTok on Monday, August 4, to share a sexy video of her “good jeans” after Sweeney, 27, and American Eagle faced backlash for the controversial ad, which some believed to be over-sexualized and spark conversations of eugenics.
After the ad went viral, a Fox commentator claimed during a broadcast, “We’re over this woke agenda. We’re over the Lizzos, we’re over the Dylan Mulvaneys. If this was a 300-pound non-binary person, they would be applauding her.” (Mulvaney, 28, is a transgender influencer.) Lizzo replied to his comments in the best way possible — with a catchy rap and sexy clip of her zipping into her jeans, just as Sweeney did.
The video started with the singer lying on a couch and buttoning up her jeans. She then rapped, “F*** outta my face / Hoe, give me some space.” The camera then panned to Lizzo, who was wearing a blonde wig with a denim jacket unbuttoned, revealing her black bra and bedazzled “Yitty” necklace, referencing her brand.

Lizzo then got up and let the camera zoom in on her curves as she walked over to her award shelf, featuring multiple Grammys, a Moon Person and more. “Did this for the culture / That Left, Right, and that bend it over,” she continued. “Got SZA and Doja / I ate that, now let’s do it over.”
“Lizzo’s got Good Jeans
,” she playfully captioned the post. Fans were quick to applaud the singer in the comments section.

“All them good genes. ,” one wrote, nodding to Sweeney’s line in the campaign, which was a double entendre of the word “genes.” A second social media user added, “I abSOULutely adore this Lizzo,” while a third commented, “Lizzo is that girl
that’s why her name is always in someone’s mouth.. she dat girl.. period
.”
Ahead of dropping her reel, Lizzo shared via TikTok on Sunday, August 3, that the track was only a parody.
“For legal purposes this is just a parody remix. For legal purposes this isn’t an official release,” she wrote. “FOR LEGAL REASONS IF U TAKE THIS SONG DOWN I WILL ASSUME YOU HATE FUN .”
Sweeney’s ad caused a political divide and led to President Donald Trump weighing in, praising the registered Republican. (Lizzo was vocal about her vote for former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.)
“Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, has the ‘HOTTEST’ ad out there,” he wrote via his TruthSocial app on Monday. “It’s for American Eagle, and the jeans are ‘flying off the shelves.’ Go get ’em Sydney!”

American Eagle responded to the backlash on August 1, writing via Instagram, “‘Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans’ is and always was about the jeans. Her jeans. Her story.”
The message continued, “We’ll continue to celebrate how everyone wears their AE jeans with confidence, their way. Great jeans look good on everyone.”
