Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Look Casual Chic During Rare Sibling Sighting

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen — ever the understated style icons — were seen working hard at their Hamptons-based store this week.

The famous twins, 39, organized racks of meticulously curated garments inside of The Row’s location in New York while dressed in matching black sweatshirts and effortlessly chic loungewear on Thursday, August 21, showcasing their signature minimalist aesthetic.

Mary-Kate and Ashley kept it casual, going makeup-free with their hair loose and naturally tousled. While at the spot, they hung up multiple pieces and tidied up their space as they chatted amongst each other in photos obtained by Us Weekly.

The famous fashion-forward duo began developing their brand in 2005 and officially launched the following year, focusing on “exceptional fabrics and impeccable details.”

Mary-Kate and Ashley said the name they chose was inspired by Savile Row, a street in London widely known for its tailoring shops.

“We didn’t want to be in front of it, we didn’t necessarily even want to let people know it was us,” Ashley told i-D about their vision for the brand in 2021. “It was really about the product, to the point where we were like: Who could we get to front this so that we don’t have to?”

The Olsen sisters rose to fame in 1987 when they were both cast as baby Michelle Tanner on Full House, and have since segued into becoming creative directors of high-end, successful sartorial brands such as The Row and Elizabeth & James.
