Natalie Portman’s 14-year-old son, Aleph, made a rare on camera appearance on Twitch star Marlon Lundgren Garcia’s channel — and even called up his famous mother.
On Sunday, June 29, Garcia, 23, shared a video via his Instagram page of him and Aleph meeting on the sidelines of a soccer field with friends. While Aleph was introducing himself, he asked if Garcia knew of Portman, 44.
“No, I don’t think so, why?” Garcia responded before Aleph brought up that his mom was in Star Wars. “Padmé Amidala? Well, that’s my mom. Can you give a shout-out to my mom?”
Aleph then went to FaceTime his mom and introduced him to Garcia, who was in disbelief.
Natalie Portman Explains Why She Doesn’t Think Kids Should Be Actors
“Hi, I’m sorry for disturbing you, I just want to say hi real quick,” Garcia told Portman. “I’m here with your son. We’re about to play a little football.”
Although Portman couldn’t hear what Garcia was saying, she responded graciously, telling him she hopes he “has a great day.”

“I appreciate you. … Nice meeting you,” Garcia concluded the call before telling the camera that he had a crush on Portman while growing up. “Super respectfully, while I was growing up we used to watch Star Wars very heavily, she was my biggest crush bro. Very beautiful woman. Very good son. … That’s insane.”
Portman shares Aleph and daughter Amalia, 8, with ex-husband Benjamin Millepied.
The actress’ surprise phone call comes nearly three months after she gave a rare insight into her life raising her two children.
Natalie Portman's Dating History: Benjamin Millepied and More
“My kids are always a source of excitement, because you just see them develop into the individuals they are,” she told Jenna Ortega in an Interview magazine profile in April. “And also, I’ve been spending a lot of time with my friends, with their kids and my kids; that’s pretty fun.”
When asked if having kids helped her find a “balance” between her professional and private life, Portman noted that that wasn’t her “motivation” for starting a family.

“I was just excited to have kids, and with a person that I was in love with. But it’s really important to have people in your life who keep you on the ground,” she shared with the outlet.
Portman and Millepied, 47, met on the set of Black Swan in 2009 and welcomed Aleph in June 2011 before tying the knot in August 2012. The twosome welcomed Amalia in 2017 before calling it quits in 2023, reportedly due to Millepied allegedly having an affair.
Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied Spotted for 1st Time Since Split
Nearly one year after Portman and Millipied’s divorce was finalized, a source told Us Weekly that Portman has a new relationship with music producer Tanguy Destable.
“Natalie and Tanguy have been seeing each other for a few months,” the insider shared, adding that it hasn’t been “too long, but they are having a great time together” and that Destable, 44, is “very outgoing and boisterous” and “is really into” Portman.
