Nick Hogan checked in on one of his dad Hulk Hogan’s last business projects while in New York City — and seemed satisfied with the progress.

Nick, 35, visited Hulk’s planned Slam bar, which will be located near Madison Square Garden, while he was in town for WWE SummerSlam last weekend. According to a photo obtained by TMZ, Nick stopped by with business partner Rich Rosen, and they posed for a snap inside the under-construction establishment.

Rosen previously told Page Six that Slam will still open later this year despite Hogan’s death last month at age 71.

“Hulk Hogan wasn’t just a partner. He was a dear friend and a legend whose impact on sports and entertainment is immeasurable. From the very beginning, Hulk poured his heart into this project,” Rosen said in July. “He shaped the spirit of what Slam was meant to be, a place where fans from around the world could gather at the very corner where his legend began, to celebrate his legacy and the unforgettable moments that defined his career.”

He continued, “Slam will open its doors as a living tribute to Hulk Hogan, right across from Madison Square Garden, the place he called home. It will be the greatest sports entertainment venue New York has ever seen. This is for Hulk, and for every person whose life was touched by the power of Hulkamania.”

The 9,000-square-foot sports bar is set to have a wall of windows facing MSG, where Hulk made his WWE debut in 1979. The decor will include memorabilia from Hulk’s career, and the bar will serve his Real American Beer. According to Rosen, Slam, which will also have a rooftop level, is still slated to open in the fall.

Hulk died on July 24 after suffering cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida. Medical documents later revealed his official cause of death was acute myocardial infarction, most commonly known as a heart attack.

The documents also noted he had a history of leukemia CLL, a type of cancer that affects white blood cells called lymphocytes. It is not believed that Hogan’s cancer was public knowledge.

Nick was in attendance at WWE SummerSlam this past weekend as his father was honored with a tribute. He and his wife, Tana Lea, were shown in the crowd at the Saturday, August 2, event at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Nick was seemingly near tears as WWE played The Hulkster’s classic theme song “Real American” at the conclusion of a video package highlighting the 12-time World Heavyweight Champion’s legacy.

“Hulk Hogan was larger than life, sports entertainment personified [and] the greatest performer in our history,” WWE announcer Michael Cole told viewers, adding that Hulk was “undefeated” at SummerSlam throughout his career and contributed “so many great moments, too many to talk about” for WWE fans.

As the camera showed Nick and his wife at ringside, Cole explained that the couple were attending the event to “celebrate [Hulk’s] life and legacy.”
