Orlando Bloom Spotted for 1st Time in Venice After Katy Perry Split

Orlando Bloom appeared in good spirits during his first public outing after news broke of his split from Katy Perry.

Bloom, 48, was photographed with Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian in Venice on Thursday, June 26, ahead of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez‘s wedding. The actor shared several air kisses with Kim, 44, as they greeted each other.

Us Weekly broke the news on Wednesday, June 25, that Bloom and Perry, 40, called it quits after nearly a decade together.

“Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,” a source exclusively told Us. “It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.”

Another insider noted that Perry and Bloom’s split was “a long time coming” since their relationship has “been tense for months.” The singer, who shares 4-year-old daughter Daisy with Bloom, is focused on her Lifetimes tour amid the breakup.

“Katy has been very busy working, and they are apart often,” a source previously explained to Us about the former couple’s issues. “It’s an unspoken thing that they are having issues and have for a while now. Everyone around them knows.”

Perry and Bloom started dating in 2016 before briefly calling it quits one year later.

“We weren’t really in it from day one,” Perry admitted on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in September 2024. “He was, in a way, because he had just done a time of celibacy and he had set intentions. I was fresh out of a relationship and I was just like, ‘I can’t do this anymore. I need to swim in a different pond.’”

They ultimately rekindled their romance and got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019. The pair welcomed Daisy in 2020.

Bloom is also the father of son Flynn, 13, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr. The former couple have continued to coparent following their 2013 split, with Kerr, 41, often discussing how she maintained a close bond with Bloom and Perry.

“We enjoy each other’s company,” Kerr, who shares three children with husband Evan Spiegel, told Access Hollywood in September 2023. “It’s incredible because now with Evan as my partner for the last nine years and now we have our family and Katy and Orlando have Daisy. It’s like we’re a blended family.”

Perry has also praised her friendship with Kerr, telling Vogue in March 2023, “We are a blended family, a modern family. And we want to help destroy that old narrative [that] ex-wives and new wives don’t get along.’ That’s not true. We are strong, powerful women and we need each other and we are really there for each other.”
