Pete Davidson's GF Elsie Hewitt Shows Off Baby Bump on Red Carpet

Pete Davidson’s girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, is bumpin’ along!

Davidson, 31, and Hewitt, 29, made their first red carpet appearance since announcing their pregnancy news at the premiere of the Saturday Night Live alum’s action-comedy movie, The Pickup, on Sunday, July 27. The model debuted her baby bump in a tight black sleeveless dress and matching heels, posing alongside her boyfriend, who wore a brown tracksuit by heritage sportswear brand Sergio Tacchini and sneakers.

Davidson kept one hand on Hewitt’s waist as the couple shared a few kisses and exchanged loving glances.

The outing came more than one week after Hewitt announced that she and Davidson are expecting their first child together. She took to Instagram on July 16 with a series of photos and videos, including one that showed herself and the comedian at a doctor’s office, watching a sonogram video.

“welp now everyone knows we had sex,” she captioned the post.

Davidson broke his silence on the pregnancy news days later, telling Entertainment Tonight on July 22 that he “couldn’t be more excited.”

“As you know, it’s been my dream forever since I was a little kid,” he said. “The baby’s mother is one of my favorite people to ever exist ever. She’s going to be a great mom and I’m just stoked. I hope to be a, you know, the dad I hoped that I would have.”

Davidson’s firefighter father, Scott Davidson, died during the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York City’s World Trade Center. Pete was 7 years old at the time. The King of Staten Island star told Charlamagne Tha God in 2020 that he hoped to have a child of his own someday to “be there for something or do something that I didn’t have growing up.”

He opened up more about his desire to be a father in a 2022 appearance on Kevin Hart’s Hart to Heart on Peacock.

“I’m definitely a family guy. My favorite thing ever, which I have yet to achieve, I wanna have a kid. That’s like, my dream,” he said. “It’s like, super corny, [but] it would be so fun. Dress up the little dude. … I’m so excited for that chapter. That’s kind of what I’m just preparing for now, is just trying to be as good as a dude, develop and get better so when that happens it’s just easier.”

And though a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Pete and Hewitt, who began dating in March, weren’t planning to become parents just yet, the couple is welcoming the surprise with open arms.

“Pete and Elsie definitely weren’t planning on starting a family but are over the moon about it. They are so excited,” the insider said. “Pete and Elsie have a really playful relationship, and things are going really well.”

The source added that even though Pete and Hewitt have only been together for a “short amount of time,” they’ve become “inseparable.”

“This has brought them even closer. It’s a healthy relationship for Pete,” the source explained. “Pete has always wanted to be a dad and thinks the timing in his life is perfect. He couldn’t have done it a few years ago, but is in a very different place in life now.”

The insider noted that Pete has “matured a lot” and “had a great year so far with two movies coming out soon, another in production, and a return to stand-up.” Meanwhile, he and Hewitt “live together now and are starting to get things ready, which has been very exciting for them to do together.”
