Princess Anne’s Son Makes Rare Appearance With Girlfriend at Wimbledon

Princess Anne’s son, Peter Phillips, enjoyed a day out at Wimbledon with his girlfriend, Harriet Sperling.

On Wednesday, July 9, Phillips, 47, and Sperling, 44, attended the tennis championship in London. For the match, Sperling dressed up in a sky blue linen skirt set with brown platform shoes. Phillips, for his part, wore a navy suit jacket with khaki pants.

Phillips has been dating Sperling, a pediatric nurse, since early 2024. The couple made their public debut at the Badminton Horse Trials that May.

While they have kept their relationship under wraps for the most part, Sperling has been spotted joining Phillips’ family on rare occasions, including at the annual New Year’s Day Racing Meet in January. The pair were joined that day by Phillips’ sister, Zara Tindall, and her husband, Mike Tindall, along with their three children.

Phillips was previously married to Autumn Kelly from 2008 until their split in 2019. The twosome share daughters Savannah, 14, and Isla, 13.

“After informing HM The Queen and members of both families last year, Peter and Autumn jointly agreed to separate,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement to the Daily Mail in February 2020. “They had reached the conclusion that this was the best course of action for their two children and ongoing friendship. The decision to divorce and share custody came about after many months of discussions and, although sad, is an amicable one.”

The palace noted that Kelly, 47, and Phillips’ “first priority will remain the continued well-being and upbringing of their wonderful daughters.”

“Both families were naturally sad at the announcement, but fully supportive of Peter and Autumn in the joint decision to coparent their children,” the statement read. “Both Peter and Autumn have remained in Gloucestershire to bring up their two children where they have been settled for a number of years.”

Shortly after Phillips finalized his divorce from Kelly in 2021, Phillips began dating Lindsay Wallace, who attended the same boarding school as him.

Phillips and Wallace made their debut as a couple at the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee festivities in June 2022. Two years later, the duo reportedly called it quits.

Anne, 74, and ex Mark Phillips welcomed Peter in 1977, followed by Zara in 1981.

Peter, who is also the cousin of Prince Harry and Prince William, has been candid about being raised in the royal family.

“We had fun, but we were kids, growing up as any other family would do,” Peter told ABC News in August 2014 regarding his relationship with Harry, 40, and William, 43. “Going around to see your cousins as a normal family would do. As children, you don’t know any different.”
