The All England Lawn Tennis Club had a royal visitor on the second day of Wimbledon quarterfinals action.

Queen Camilla attended the tennis tournament on Wednesday, July 9, wearing a flowy summer dress, pumps and pearl earrings on an afternoon outing with her sister, Annabel Elliot

Earlier in the day, Camilla, 77, and her husband, King Charles III, said their goodbyes to French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, at Buckingham Palace after both couples attended the French State Banquet at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, July 8.

Once on the tennis grounds, Camilla interacted with tennis icon Billie Jean King, which was seen in a video shared by the BBC

“Lovely to meet you,” Camilla told King, 81. “Very nice to see you still going strong.”

Camilla then made her way to a waiting Novak Djokovic, where the Queen told the 24-time major champion she would be heading inside to watch his quarterfinal match against Italy’s Flavio Cobolli

“It will be my great honor,” Djokovic, 38, said. “Thank you so much for coming. I appreciate it.”

Camilla also met with key Wimbledon staff members, according to Buckingham Palace.

The group included lead groundsperson Will Brierley, “who has dedicated 20 years of service to the Club and is responsible for the Championship Courts,” lead gardener Robin Murphy, “who has recently celebrated 20 years of service and has worked diligently to maintain the more than 50,000 plants during the recent hot weather,” and collections manager Malin Lundin, “who has been instrumental in bringing Wimbledon’s heritage to life through displays that welcome players and guests.”

While making her way to her seat inside Centre Court’s Royal Box, Camilla was met with light applause from the crowd.

Camilla was seated in the front row of the box next to her sister and Debbie Jevans, the chair of the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

They shared the box with actor Hugh Grant and his wife, Anna Elisabet Eberstein, who were seated right behind them.

During the match, Camilla and Grant, 64, were seen chatting during a break in play.

Camilla’s appearance at Wimbledon comes before Princess Kate Middleton attends this year’s tournament.

Last month, royal expert Rebecca English reported it was “very likely” that the Princess of Wales, 43, will watch the tournament from the royal box at some point before the tournament wraps up.

The Wimbledon women’s and men’s finals will be played on Saturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13, respectively.
