Sadie Robertson Huff and her husband, Christian Huff, opened up about being robbed during a recent family trip.

“It’s so sad too because we had our car seats and strollers and diaper bag in [a car that was robbed],” Sadie, 28, revealed on her “WHOA That’s Good Podcast” on Tuesday, July 22. “Of course, they didn’t steal any of that, which I’m thankful for, but I’m like, that’s so low. You know you’re stealing from a family with kids.”

The pregnant Duck Dynasty star and her spouse spoke in detail on their latest podcast about their disastrous “last vacation” before their baby’s arrival, as Sadie was scheduled to speak at the Forward religious conference in Atlanta.

The trip got off to a difficult start as the Huffs were nearly denied entry on their flight because they were “a little late” to the airport. Their 2-year-old daughter, Haven, developed “the biggest nosebleed” just before they boarded.

“I mean, y’all, [her nose] was pouring [blood],” she recalled. “It was all over her, it was all over me. Blood was just everywhere.”

The Huffs eventually got the nosebleed under control and arrived as scheduled for their family trip to Atlanta. However, there was yet more trouble when they stopped to get something to eat shortly after landing.

“We go in [to the restaurant] and we’re just like, ‘OK, let’s just take a breath. This has been, like, a stressful couple of hours,’” she recalled. “Obviously, that didn’t really go as planned.”

Once they’d finished eating, Sadie and Christian walked out to discover that their car windows were “completely busted in” and their backpacks were stolen.

“[Our backpacks] had a lot of important things in there, including all of our family’s passports … they stole [Christian’s] actual [driver’s] license, all of Christian’s credit cards, they stole his Bible that he’s had forever … I mean, it was sad,” she admitted.

While the family was thankful that their car seats and strollers weren’t taken, Sadie realized that the robbers must have known they were stealing from someone with young children.

“I just hate to think about them seeing [daughters] Honey and Haven’s little faces on that passport,” she confessed. “It just makes me so mad!”

Christian added, “We also prayed that the fear of God would fall upon them.”

Sadie confessed to praying that her robbers “would be vomiting” due to feeling so much guilt about what they’d done.

“I prayed [this] would lead them to repentance and they would open Christian’s Bible and start reading it and feel the fear of the Lord,” she remembered. “I don’t know if any of that happened.”

Following the robbery, the couple ultimately had to make an hour drive to Atlanta with their car windows busted out.

“The girls were scared,” Sadie said. “Honey was very scared because she was like, ‘Bad guys broke our windows and took Daddy’s stuff?’ She was so worried about Daddy’s stuff. … It was so sad. We just had to talk to her a lot about why someone would do that.”

Sadie acknowledged how “sad” it was to explain to their young daughter about the harsh realities of life that lead to crime.

“[It was] also an opportunity to show her our faith and what we believe about God and for us to be steady,” she pointed out. “I think, if it wouldn’t have been for the kids, I would have been a lot more scared.”

Christian chimed in: “You were being strong for them!”

The Huffs announced in February that they are expecting their third baby. (Sadie and Christian’s daughter Honey was born in May 2021, and Haven arrived in May 2023.)

“Our hearts are so full,” Robertson wrote via Instagram at the time. “Another little love joining the Huff family.”

Sadie’s pregnancy has faced complications, as she was hospitalized in April after experiencing early contractions. According to the reality star, doctors ultimately determined that she “was not in pre-term labor just [facing] the aftermath of the food poisoning.”
