Sister Wives is officially returning for season 20 next month and Kody Brown is ready to get a little “naughty” — if wife Robyn Brown approves.

TLC announced on Thursday, August 21, that the hit reality show starring Kody, 56, and Robyn, 46, as well as his ex-wives, Meri Brown, Janelle Brown and Christine Brown, will return on Sunday, September 28.

In the official trailer for the new season, Kody confesses, “I have this wife, her name is Robyn. She would never let me do anything naughty as bad as I want to do it.” He then lets out an evil laugh, teasing mayhem could follow.

Kody’s remarks come after he is shown trying — and seemingly failing — to make amends with his exes.

In the video, Kody claims he “would love healing” to happen with his former spouses. (In case you missed it, Christine left him in November 2021, Janelle confirmed their separation in December 2022, and Meri announced their split in January 2023.)

Fans then see Kody sit down with Christine, 53, to apologize “with all my heart” for his actions. She subsequently tells her husband, David Woolley, whom she wed in October 2023, “I don’t want to talk to Kody ever again.”

He also chats with Janelle, 56, and brings up his past allegations that he “didn’t love” her, claiming, “that wasn’t true.”

While Kody’s connections, or lack thereof, with his ex-wives will be a big story line for season 20, fans can expect a lot more from the new season.

“I have never done speed dating before,” Meri confesses before giving the form of dating a go on camera.

According to the official press release, “Meri dips her toe into dating with an awkward but promising speed dating event.”

Janelle, for her part, reveals that she’s ready to finally be free from Kody in every way possible. “We talked about the spiritual divorce. I think I’m ready,” she tells Meri in the trailer.

Christine, meanwhile, makes a joke about David, 61, hanging out with Kody, which comes to fruition in the form of racecar driving.

After facing a few marital challenges during season 19, Robyn and Kody are still together but trying to navigate their monogamous relationship.

In the trailer, Kody reveals he got an email from a woman who wants to “get to know us for the purpose of joining the family.” Robyn, who has always wanted the plural lifestyle, makes a face as if she’s not convinced of the idea of letting a new woman into their marriage.

The season also promises a face-off between Robyn and Kody and Janelle and Meri as they try once and for all to sell their Coyote Pass property in Arizona.

“This is bulls***. I’m not selling this land until everything is perfectly fair, and we do this the right way, sorry,” Robyn tells the cameras.

Janelle then teases, “It’s a standoff at the Coyote Pass final showdown.”

Sister Wives season 20 premieres on TLC Sunday, September 28, at 10 p.m. ET.
