Suki Waterhouse Hospitalized for Hernia After Wearing 'Tight' Pants

Suki Waterhouse is recovering after being treated for a hernia.

The actress and singer, 33, shared a health update via X on Monday, July 14, explaining the reason for her silence on social media. 

“‘Suki you never tweet anymore’ have you ever considered I wore pants so tight 6 months ago it caused a hernia & I’ve been too scared to tell you,” Waterhouse wrote in a cheeky post, attaching a selfie from her hospital bed and another photo of her performing onstage in the aforementioned tight pants.

In the hospital snapshot, she stared at the camera with a slightly bewildered expression while wearing a white gown. Her blond hair looked messy yet chic. A blue vape pen lay on her chest.

“Vape in the hospital is diabolical,” an X user remarked, to which Waterhouse replied, “So true.”

Another person wrote, “I mean at least you served and i think that’s the whole point.”

More Waterhouse fans added to the praise. 

“This is so rock n roll I fear,” one fan mused, while someone else gushed, “On stage in leather trousers then attached to a drip in the hospital later like a true 70s rockstar.”

Last year, Waterhouse released her second studio album, Memoir of a Sparklemuffin, and opened for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium in London, where she was born and raised. She toured for the album from September to December 2024. 

In March of that year, she welcomed her first child, a daughter, with fiancé Robert Pattinson. (The couple have kept their baby’s name private.) Months later, Waterhouse and the little one graced the August 2024 cover of Vogue. Months after that, Pattinson, 39, did his own interview with the fashion bible, describing his unexpected parenting skill. 

“I remember people used to be like, ‘Oh, don’t you like the smell of babies?’ but I thought they were just smelling the baby powder,” the Twilight star said in January. “But then I had a baby, and I was like, ‘My baby smells incredible.’ There’s something there, I can identify her. She doesn’t smell like other babies.”

Waterhouse praised her man when she stepped out for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards in New York.

“He’s the greatest!” she said last September, adding that she wasn’t sure who her daughter most took after. “I don’t know. It’s just always changing,” she added. “She has such a sweet nature. It’s really sweet to see.” 

Waterhouse revealed at the time that Pattinson loved changing their daughter’s diapers. 

“He thinks it’s fun,” she said. “The surprise, and everything.”
