Sydney Sweeney had a major transformation for her upcoming film, Eden.
Sweeney, 27, looked unrecognizable in the thriller trailer, which dropped on Wednesday, June 25. The actress, who plays Margaret Wittmer in the movie, ditched her signature blonde strands and bombshell glam for an au natural look, including brunette tresses. Sweeney went makeup-free and parted her tresses to the side. She twisted her mane into an updo with her flyaways hanging out.
Instead of the sexy sleek outfits Sweeney usually opts for, her costumes for Margaret are more muted outfits including a gray dress featuring a relaxed collar, puffy sleeves and an all-over polkadot design.
According to IMDb, Eden follows “a group of people fueled by a profound desire for change; in order to turn their back to society they leave everything behind and set their futures on the harsh landscape of the Galapagos.” Sweeney stars alongside Jude Law, Ana de Armas, Vanessa Kirby and more.
Sydney Sweeney’s Body Evolution: 30 Pound Weight Gain, More
This isn’t the first time Sweeney has transformed herself for a gig. Earlier this month, she opened up about gaining over 30 pounds to play Christy Martin in a biopic.

“I came onboard to play Christy, and I had about three and a half months of training. I started eating. I weight-trained in the morning for an hour, kickboxed midday for about two hours, and then weight-trained again at night for an hour,” she told W Magazine.

She added, “I didn’t fit in any of my clothes. I’m usually a size 23 in jeans, and I was wearing a size 27. My boobs got bigger. And my butt got huge. It was crazy! I was like, ‘Oh, my god.’”
Sweeney gushed that she was still a fan of her new figure, and proud of getting “crazy strong.”
