The Summer I Turned Pretty has officially reached the point of no return as Conrad tries to stop Belly’s wedding to his brother.
During the Wednesday, August 20, episode of the hit Prime Video series, Belly (Lola Tung) is already starting to have doubts about how she can marry Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) after sharing very heated moments with Conrad (Chris Briney), her ex and soon-to-be brother-in-law.
Things don’t get any easier when everyone is together at Cousins for a bachelor and bachelorette weekend that should go down in TV history. Jeremiah starts to pick up on a vibe between Belly and Conrad, who are trying to avoid each other. But after Belly gets a few shots in her — and a gummy — she starts to piece together how much Conrad has been supporting her without her knowledge.
Belly questions why Conrad put in the effort to get her mom, Laurel (Jackie Chung), to come around about her wedding to Jeremiah. Their conversation is interrupted, but Belly is already starting to spiral about how she is days away from walking down the aisle while still thinking about Conrad.
‘Summer I Turned Pretty’ Book Ending Explained: Who Did Belly End Up With?
Conrad, for his part, is there for Jeremiah until he hears about how his brother cheated on Belly over spring break. Fans of Jenny Han‘s book series then settled in to watch the scene they have been waiting for since the TV adaptation was announced years prior.
Belly and Conrad reunite at the beach — only to get into a fight. Conrad is stunned to find out that Belly knew about Jeremiah’s infidelity and still wants to go through with the wedding. She is equally as surprised that Conrad cares this much, until she finds out what the audience has known all along — that he still loves her.

“Don’t marry him,” Conrad tells Belly in a scene ripped straight from Han’s We’ll Always Have Summer novel. “Don’t be with him. Be with me.”
It isn’t that easy, though, because Belly shuts down Conrad, leaving them both heartbroken mere days before she is set to exchange vows with Jeremiah.
Book Moments Us Wants to See on ‘Summer I Turned Pretty’ Season 3
While the outcome of the love triangle is technically still up in the air, Wednesday’s episode once again utilized Taylor Swift songs as needle drops in two key Conrad and Belly scenes. The Tortured Poets Department’s “Robin” and “Loml” were heard as fans watched what seems to be the endgame couple.
Earlier this season, Han used Swift’s “You’re Losing Me” after Belly learned Jeremiah cheated on her. “False God” was later revisited for an almost-kiss moment between Belly and Conrad after it was first heard in season 1.
Han previously acknowledged that season 3 hadn’t featured as much of Swift’s music as fans might have expected. “I think I’ll say, I guess … keep watching,” she told Variety in August.
The Summer I Turned Pretty airs on Prime Video Wednesdays.
