Taylor Swift had a cathartic moment with Brittany Mahomes and Donna Kelce after a stressful stretch ahead of last season’s AFC Championship Game.
Moments after the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills 32-29 in the January showdown, Swift, 35, found Brittany, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and Donna, the mother of Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, on the field at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium.
In episode five of ESPN’s six-part docuseries The Kingdom, Swift can be seen running into the arms of Brittany, 29, in the chaotic aftermath.
“You kept me so calm the last couple weeks,” Swift told her.

Donna, 72, joined the conversation as Swift continued to describe how Brittany had been her emotional support system.
“I did not know what to do,” Swift told Donna. “I’d just text Brittany. I’d be like, ‘Tell me it’s going to be OK. Tell me it’s going to be OK.’”
Brittany, 29, said, “I always knew it was going to be OK.”
Swift then asked if she could “get in the middle” of Brittany and Donna, as the trio wrapped their arms around each other amidst the on-field celebration.
“My two pillars of support,” Swift said.

Brittany was also seen embracing her husband, Patrick, 29, on the field after the game, checking on his health after being banged-up for the final stretch of the season.
“You’re good?” Brittany asked him in the series. “Everything’s healthy?”
Patrick responded, “I’m good. I love you.”
“I love you, more,” Brittany said. “I’m so proud of you.”

The Chiefs’ victory in the AFC Championship Game secured their spot in Super Bowl LIX, where they were ultimately defeated by the Philadelphia Eagles, 40-22.
After the loss, which ended the Chiefs’ quest to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls, Patrick acknowledged he failed to play up to his standards.
“Leaving the football field, one of the lowest points of my career,” Mahomes said in episode 6 of The Kingdom. “You lose a chance of having that three-peat. You never know if you’ll ever have that opportunity again. You lose a Super Bowl, that’s stuff you have to live with for the rest of your career.”
The first two episodes of The Kingdom are available on ESPN+, with episodes 3 and 4 premiering on Tuesday, August 19, and episodes 5 and 6 premiering on Wednesday, August 20, on ESPN.
