Dakota Johnson isn’t planning to change up her hairstyle anytime soon.
Johnson, 35, opened up about her signature ‘do while chatting with Etalk on Wednesday August 20, after she was praised for being “hair goals” among many fans who adore her dark brown mane and wispy bangs.
“Oh, God. You know what? I’m obviously physically attached to my hair, but I’m very emotionally attached to it,” Johnson explained. “I should probably change things up, but I don’t think I will.”
Johnson has continued to rock her trademark look for several on screen roles, including Fifty Shades of Grey, Materialists and her latest appearance in Splitsville.

The mastermind behind her fringe is Mark Townsend, who has been working with Johnson for over a decade. They met when she was cast as Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades, which was a massive box office success in 2015.
In May, he told Vogue that the goal is to make her hair look “touchable and never overdone.”

“Just young and fresh,” he explained, noting that they like for her tresses to have movement. “We never want her hair to look like newscaster hair, where everything is in place,” he said. “We’re not afraid of a little flyaway here and there. If there’s a breeze, I want the hair to move with it!”
“I always want it to look like she woke up, ran a brush through her hair and walked out the door, but it does take a little bit of work, especially now her hair is so long,” Townsend added.

Along with her bangs, Johnson is known to wear her hair down and in a straight blowout. Townsend once encouraged her to try a ponytail for an event, but the actress insisted on keeping it down.
“In the end, she actually went to the event with a scrunchie on her wrist, just in case, so she could tie it up into a ponytail,” he recalled. “Actually, halfway through it, she did.”
