The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives fans didn’t hear much from Mayci Neeley during the season 2 reunion — and for a good reason.
Mayci, 30, reposted a fan comment to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, July 1, about her supposed silence during the tell-all special that began streaming the same day.
“The @secretlivesonhulu season 2 reunion was the best reality TV reunion I’ve ever seen, but I do have ONE question,” the social media user wrote. “Why did we hear absolutely nothing from @maycineeley at all? Just [because] she’s unproblematic, doesn’t mean she has less to say.”
Mayci promptly replied to the fan in her upload, noting that she was feeling under the weather during the production.
Which 'Mormon Wives' Stars Did — And Didn't — Attend the Season 2 Reunion?
“Was quiet bc of the influenza and sinus infection mix lol,” Mayci wrote via her Instagram Stories. “Also, I wasn’t really asked anything either lol.”
The Mormon Wives cast — Taylor Frankie Paul, Jen Affleck, Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Layla Taylor and Miranda McWhorter — reconvened with host Nick Viall to discuss the fallout from season 2. They were also joined by “DadTok,” a.k.a. the husbands and partners of the MomTok influencers. Demi Engemann, however, was the only Hulu star to skip the reunion. (Demi, 30, previously said that she and husband Bret Engemann took their family on a nonrefundable trip to Disneyland on that date. She did record a separate sit-down with host Nick, 44.)

While Mayci stayed out of the drama, her husband, Jacob Neeley, became a reunion fan-favorite after Layla, 24, revealed her past self-harm struggles. Jacob, 29, was seen breaking down in tears.
“I’m just a girl dad,” Jacob told Nick when asked why he was crying.
Mayci and Jacob met when she was a student at Brigham Young University in Utah, eventually getting married in 2018. They share daughter Harlow, 4, and are currently expecting their second baby girl together. Jacob also adopted Mayci’s son from a previous relationship, 9-year-old Hudson.
“Raising a little girl changes everything ,” Jacob wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, July 2, sharing photos with Harlow.
Mayci reposted Jacob’s post to her Instagram Stories, adding, “I am so GRATEFUL. He’s the BEST daddy.”
'Mormon Wives’ Couples Status Check: Who Is Still Together? Who Broke Up?
Mayci previously spoke to Us Weekly about sharing her life on Mormon Wives.
“I wasn’t shown a lot in season 1, but me and Mikayla have been really close friends since 2020,” she told Us in May. “But the way the show is edited, you don’t see any of that, which is interesting to see back.”
According to Mayci, her “whole story line” got cut out of season 1.
“In season 1, my whole story line got cut, which was dealing with the loss of my son’s father and how I have been dealing with grief over the last 10 years,” she said. “But in reality, now I’m glad it was cut from season 1. I’m glad it’s going to be in season 2 because it coincides with me getting a book deal — so it all wraps together and makes sense.”
Mayci revealed during season 2 that she is writing a memoir about her past and navigating the death of Hudson’s father. (Mayci got pregnant shortly before her then-boyfriend was killed in a car accident.)
Told You So hits bookstore shelves October 7.
